Friday, July 2nd from 6 - 10 PM on The Lodge Lawn. Our biggest event of the year is back and we couldn’t be more excited! Join the spirit of community with family, friends, and neighbors as we celebrate our Nation’s birthday. Enjoy an evening of fun including live music, a variety of food trucks and more, ending with a finale of fireworks overlooking the beautiful backdrop that is Willow Lake. Bring a blanket, lawn chairs and picnic, if you wish.

If you have input/feedback regarding the Agenda or any other HOA-related matter, please email HOA@willowsford.com prior to the meeting. You may also address the Board directly during Resident Comment Period at the beginning of each meeting. 

Design Review Committee Updates

Pre-Review and Design Review Meetings have resumed to in-person attendance only. Appointments for Pre-Review will still be made available by 9 AM on the deadline day of submission for completed applications, and can be found on the Willowsford Life website Community Calendar.  
 
Sample Design Review applications for various projects can now be found on the Willowsford Life website. These samples are a helpful tool when completing your Design Review applications. Samples may be found on the Design Review page, as well as in the Document Center under Community > Design Review. 

Community Standards Inspections

The following sections can expect to see our Community Standards Administrator, Tracey, completing Comprehensive Inspections over the next month: The Grange – Sections 5B, 6A, 6B, 7A, and 7B. Click here to determine what section you're in. You may also see Tracey performing resale inspections and following up on other matters. 
 
When out on the property, both our Community Standards Manager, Sierra, and Tracey will be dressed in Willowsford gear (most namely, a bright orange vest) and/or wearing an ID lanyard, carrying an iPad for photos, or a notepad and pen when out on property performing inspections.

Design Review

The Design Review Committee meets monthly at Sycamore House with resident forum opening at 9 AM. For more information about the Design Review process, click here.

Kimberly joined Team Willowsford at the beginning of 2021 as our Administrative Coordinator. She provides outstanding customer service over the phone, through email exchanges, and in person at Sycamore House and The Lodge. 


Q: What is your favorite sport?
A: Basketball—I started playing when I was seven and continued through my junior year of high school. March Madness is my favorite time of year!

Q: What is the best book you have ever read?
A: The Harry Potter series is amazing. J.K Rowling put out a new book during the pandemic called The Ickabog that is really well done as well.

Q: If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? 
A: Play the drums! I always wanted to be musically talented and I feel like the only child in me would go crazy on the drums.

Summer Concert Featuring Groovy Nate

Saturday, July 10th from 10 AM - 12 PM at Ellenvale Park. Dance and sing along with returning artist, Groovy Nate! Bring a blanket, chairs, and snacks to enjoy a morning of family fun. Registration not required to attend. 

Fresh Food Explorers Preview 

Saturday, July 17th from 1 – 2:30 PM at Sycamore House. Please Join Chef Bonnie and Chef Emily for an exclusive Willowsford launch party! We are excited to add Fresh Food Explorers, a new nutrition education program for preschoolers to our Jr. Chef Academy. During this preview, you will meet "Mr. Broccoli" and other cast members, get a sneak peek at the video series, sample food tastings, and explore various activity stations. Admission is FREE with a suggested donation of $25, proceeds benefit Real Food For Kids. Space is limited. Secure your tickets here!

Wine Duel - Italy v. Spain

Saturday, July 24th from 6:30 - 9 PM at The Lodge. Join Chef Bonnie Moore and Sommelier Nick Materese as they guide you through a taste comparison of neighboring Italian and Spanish wines alongside a series of small plates. Each dish will be paired with dueling glasses of wine and you decide which pairing wins. At least 8 wines and 4 small plates will be served. Cost is $85/person, 21+ only. SOLD OUT

Our state-of-the-art Fitness Center is located inside The Lodge in The Greens. The facility offers Matrix cardio machines, circuit training weight machines and free weights. Cardio machines include iPhone/iPod connectors and personal TV stations. Key fob access is available to residents in good standing.

Conservancy

Woodland Walk

Thursday, July 8th at 5 PM; Pinewoods Loop Trail Entrance - The Grove
Did you know that a single tree can tell you what wildlife you might find, how much water is in an area, or how long the woods have been there? Much can be understood about nature when you know what tree is there. Join Willowsford Conservancy for a woodland walk and learn tips for identifying trees, how we use trees to understand nature, and unique facts about trees in Conservancy open space.

  • Max 15 participants. Suitable for ages 8 and older.
  • Rain or shine; please dress for the weather and for walking in nature.
  • Bring water and bug repellent. $5 per person.

Meet at the Pinewoods Loop trail entrance off Wateroak Place. Parking is available at Twin Ponds Park. Register Here

Advanced Fishing Class

Friday, July 23rd at 5 PM; Boat House
Kick your fishing game up a notch by joining Trout Unlimited and Willowsford Conservancy for an advanced fishing course. Learn from fishing experts how to use fish ecology to find the perfect spot to catch the fish you want, secrets on selecting bait, and so much more during this hands-on fishing class. Stay after the class to fish with TU!

  • Space is limited to 8 parent/child pairs, ages 10 and older. Couples/adult pairs are welcome, too!
  • Cost: $25 per pair. No refunds for cancelations after COB Friday, June 4.
  • Please bring your own gear, including fishing rod, bait & tackle, etc.
  • Meet at the Willowsford Boat House.

Rain date: July 30th. The class will only be moved if there is severe weather. Register Here
