Users can enter their phone number in the Alert Center section to receive text notifications regarding urgent alerts and closures. In addition, this is where users can view all past Willowsford Weekly messages that have been sent. "Notify Me" allows for fast and simple communication of timely notices.
2022 Annual HOA Survey
Team Willowsford is dedicated to providing the best experiences we can for our residents and your feedback is an integral part of this process. The 2022 Annual Survey is made up of 25 questions ranging from budgeting and operations to communication and rule enforcement. Zip Line in The Grove
Replacement of the Zip Line at Overlook Knoll Park in The Grove is underway. Instillation is expected to be completed in the next two weeks.
Board Meeting Summary
NEW! The Board met May 12th. Couldn’t make the meeting, but want to know what has been going on in the community? Click here to review the Community Manager Report. The following notable actions were taken at the meeting: The Board approved the 2021 independent financial audit, and to engage the current firm (Goldklang) for the 2022 audit as well as approving to bind the Association’s insurance renewal policy which were competitively bid. The Board also appointed several volunteers to the newly adopted Playground Improvement Committee, and Board liaisons to the DRC committee. We will be reaching out to the Playground Committee members in the coming days, who are charged with providing a recommendation to the Board with respect to an overall evaluation of playground needs in the community. Finally, The Board approved a Facility Use Agreement with the Lightridge HS Cross Country team to allow minimal use of the sledding hills in exchange for volunteering for the community and they discussed items including Community Voice capital improvement submission, communications, and items remarked on by residents during resident comment period. "Hello Neighbors! We hope you are enjoying the fantastic spring weather. It’s nice to feel things are getting back to normal after the COVID pandemic period. As you know, the HOA held Board elections in March. Three members of the Board vacated their positions after several years of engaged and thoughtful service – Bill Atwill, Lisa Bradford, and Harry Pugh. All three spent countless hours over the last few years (4 years for Bill!) volunteering their time and attention to advance Willowsford initiatives and assist the transition from a Developer-controlled to a Resident-run community, and to navigate the circumstances of the Pandemic at the same time. As the temperature increases, so do reports of after-hours activity at various amenities and common areas. The HOA Board contracts with Signal 88, a private security company, to perform roving vehicle patrols in Willowsford within the Professional Services budgeted allowance. Times and days for patrols will vary. In the event of an emergency or suspected illegal activity, please continue to contact Loudoun County Sheriff’s Department at 703-771-0121 or 9-1-1.
NEW! Overnight, on-street parking is not permitted on public or private streets throughout Willowsford. The Covenants Team will investigate reports of over-night parking and follow due process procedures. Per Exhibit C, Section 2(a) of the Willowsford Charter, “Overnight parking of vehicles on public or private streets, or parking of commercial vehicles or equipment, mobile homes, recreational vehicles, golf carts, boats and other watercraft, trailers, stored vehicles, or inoperable vehicles in places other than enclosed garages or other locations screened from view, “ is not permitted.
Yard Waste Pickup
Yard Waste is serviced on Wednesdays. Please place curbside the evening prior (or no later than 5 AM on the day of service). Below are a few tips and reminders:
Tree limbs should be bundled with rope or twine, and no longer than 4 ft. long or 3 in. thick
Place grass clippings in biodegradable bags or in a personal container marked "Yard Waste"
Keep all your containers 3 ft. apart from each other, and 10 ft. apart from any other obstacle
Bagged or bundled items must not exceed 50 lbs.
These items are not accepted: rocks, concrete, dirt, sod, mulch, tree stumps
Call for Volunteers - Design Review Committee
NEW! The Design Review Committee is looking for a few volunteers to join the team. The DRC reviews about 80-120 applications every month and it is not a small endeavor. Volunteers with experience in construction, architecture, landscaping, and design are preferred but not required. With the high volume and attention to detail required for reviewing applications, anticipate a commitment level of about 8-12 hours per month. DRC meetings begin at 9AM on the third Wednesday of every month at Sycamore House. If you would like to volunteer or require more information, please reach out to DRC@willowsfordlife.com.

Wednesday, June 8th from 6 - 8 PM at Sycamore House. Chef Emily is partnering with Willowsford Conservancy to highlight all the abundance that comes from the Farm and many of their local partners. Willowsford Conservancy’s Chef Gabe Concordia and Chef Emily are developing a seasonal menu based on the current CSA offerings, which will be revealed at the dinner. Chef Gabe will also be discussing the Farm, their local Partners and this year’s plan for the Farm Stand. The first course will highlight Village Cheeseworks and Farm produce. The second course will be a beautiful salad featuring Arcadia Venture’s seasonal foraged ingredients and spring greens from the Farm. The main course will bring Longstone Farm’s chicken together with the Farm’s vegetables and Foggy Mountain Pasta. The final course will pair the Farm’s herbs and Locksley’s cheese in a delightful dessert. This four course dinner will be served family-style with house wines. Saturday, June 11th from 12 - 4 PM in the Sycamore House Courtyard. We're bringing the winery experience to you! We’ve invited a selection of the area’s best wineries to showcase their wines and provide private tastings to our residents. Registration includes a Willowsford tasting glass and tickets to sample 12 wines. Try something you like? Each winery will also offer wine by the bottle to purchase and take home. Please bring your own snacks or pre-order a picnic box prepared by Willowsford Kitchen. Seating is limited; feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chair if you plan to spend the day. This event is 21+ only; must show valid ID. Cost is $38/person. No pets permitted.
