Service Interruption: Yard WasteAmerican Disposal will not be picking up yard waste in Loudoun County today, September 7th. Pick up will resume the following Wednesday, September 14th.
We understand the missed yard waste pickups have been frustrating and inconvenient. The pandemic has affected trash haulers throughout the nation. With staffing shortages on the rise, the industry has had to prioritize pick-ups. Trash is the number one priority due to health and safety, then recycling. Yard waste, while it can pile up, is made up of grass and brush and is the most likely to be skipped when staff is not available. We are working with American daily to improve service for our residents.
American Disposal Services would like to share a few reminders: - Please break-down cardboard boxes and place in the recycle bin as much as possible. If they do not fit, use one box to hold the extra broken-down items
- Place trash and recycling bins with the handle closest to the curb (the opening of the bin should be towards the street)
- Sign up for the American Disposal App

Grove Trail RepairsWe are excited to announce NVM Paving is currently performing trail repairs in The Grove, weather permitting. You may see representatives from NVM Paving marking the areas assigned for repairs prior to beginning work. Portions of trails under construction will be closed with caution tape and/or cones. Please avoid walking in these sections for your safety. The caution tape and cones will remain for 24 hours after the work in each location has been completed to ensure the area has had time to “set”. Trails will remain open during construction; however, if you encounter the crews working or areas that are caution taped, please walk around them, and continue to enjoy your walk. We appreciate your patience as we update the trail system throughout the Willowsford community.
