Board Meeting Info

The Board met August 17th. Couldn’t make the meeting, but want to know what we have been up to and what is going on in the community? Click here to review the Community Manager Report. The following notable actions were taken:

The Board adopted revisions to the Access to Books and Records Policy, revisions to the Amenity Use Guidelines, and an administrative resolution defining Estate Lots and Vineyard Lots. The Community Manager provided an update on the Association’s financials as of the most recent monthly reports. Discussion included Community Voice submissions, fitness center issues, and revisions to the Community Group (Clubs) Guidelines. Approved Minutes and other documents are available to view on WillowsfordLife.com in the Document Center except for the Amenity Use Guidelines which will be added in September when finalized to include the Conservancy’s section of amenities and information. The next Board meeting is scheduled for October 19th, 5:30 PM at Sycamore House and available on Zoom.

Composting Starting at Willowsford

We are pleased to announce that the Willowsford Farm Stand is the newest drop-off site for Worm Works' food waste composting services. This addition is a significant step towards making sustainable waste management more accessible in our community. Worm Works subscribers can start using this location for their compostable waste. This initiative provides another practical avenue for local residents to contribute positively to the environment and the health of our soils. If you're interested in joining this endeavor, signing up is a straightforward process. Visit Worm Works' website HERE to learn more about the program.

Coffee & Conversation

Friday, September 8th from 9 - 10 AM at The Lodge. It’s not always easy to attend Board Meetings, and even if you do, we can’t always work through the issue at length during the meeting. Join Rebecca, HOA Community Manager, to share your ideas or concerns about the HOA community over a cup of coffee. Coffee and Conversations will generally be hosted on the first Friday of every month.

Community Standards Inspections

Our Community Standards Team is currently conducting comprehensive inspections in The Grant. During a comprehensive inspection, our Covenants Team reviews the entire exterior of each Lot. These inspections are conducted on each lot every 18 months. Comprehensive inspections ensure properties are well maintained keeping your property values high. If you have any questions about the inspection process, please reach out to our Covenants Manager, Marlith, at DRC@willowsford.com. As a reminder, curb appeal inspections occur weekly throughout all four villages.

Lemonade for Lewy Body Update

The Morgenthalers and Willowsford Cares would like to thank the community for their tremendous support on Saturday. The “Lemonade for Lewy Body” stand was a great success because of kind and generous neighbors like you. The fundraiser has now raised over $2k for the cause—Lewy Body Dementia research, education, and caregiving support. Made known by Robin Williams’ postmortem diagnosis, LBD is a terminal disease that manifests in dementia, Parkinson’s symptoms, and mental health issues. It’s the second most common form of dementia after Alzheimer’s. Sufferers and their families are desperate for a cure or disease-modifying treatments, so your donations are paramount.

Some of you have asked if it’s too late to participate? It’s not! Willowsford Cares is collecting tax-deductible donations through the end of the week (PayPal: WillowsfordCares@gmail.com or Venmo: @Willowsfordcares). Every bit of the proceeds will be donated to the Lewy Body Dementia Association. Last year the lemonade stand raised over $2,600 in the span of a week; this year the goal is $3k. Our heartfelt thanks for helping turn lemons into lemonade!
