Jr. Chef Academy: Half Pints - Tuesdays, October 3rd through November 14th (no class 10/31). From 4:30 to 6:30 PM at Sycamore House. "Dough-Re-Mi." Kids will start off right here in the US making biscuits. From there we'll travel to a different county each week, learn about a dough from that culture and how to create delicious sweet and savory dishes with it.  Half Pints is for kids ages 5 to 8. $310/child (price includes a Willowsford apron). Jr. Chef Academy: Foodies - Thursdays, October 5th through November 9th from 5 to 7:30 PM at Sycamore House. "All You Knead is Love…and Bread." Kids will start off with basic yeast dough and build to more complex enriched and laminated dough, including homemade brioche and from-scratch croissants!  Each week the kids will learn the techniques specific to each dough, then how to shape and bake them into delicious sweet and savory treats! Foodies is for kids ages 9 to 12. $340/child (price includes a Willowsford apron). Community Standards Inspection Reminder – The following sections in The Grant can expect to see Elexandra over the next few months: 2A and 2B. Click here to determine what section your street is in. Final Summer Concert Series feat. Jameson Green  September 9th from 6:30 to 9 PM on The Lodge back lawn.  Jameson Green is a regional ensemble of multi-talented musicians with years of experience performing for the tri-state area. Whether entertaining as a duo, trio, or quartet, Jameson Green delivers quality live music (covers and originals) that has culled a loyal following. Regardless of audience or genre, Jameson Green never fails to deliver the appropriate energy fit for all ages and occasions. A truly versatile band, Jameson Green occasionally showcases additional musicians enjoyed on the tri-state circuit.  Don’t forget to bring chairs, a picnic, and your favorite beverage! Lunch & Learn – Thursdays, Sept. 21st, 28th and Oct. 5th. From 10:30 AM to 1 PM at The Lodge. In this 3-week technique driven series you’ll learn the “why” behind what we do in the kitchen, including knife skills, how to purchase and use kitchen equipment and ingredients, as well as solid culinary techniques. While preparing a delicious lunch, veteran cooks and beginners will learn and practice basic knife skills including how to hone and sharpen a knife, slice and dice an onion, dice a shallot, julienne carrots, chop herbs and debone a whole chicken.  During the 3rd class, each student will debone their own chicken.  The Kitchen will vacuum pack it for you to take home.  Lunch will be served each week along with a glass of wine. *This class is limited to 12 students.

$70/person per class for Week 1 and 2. $90/person for Week 3 (includes a Free-Grange chicken to take home). Series $230/per person (includes a Willowsford apron and a Free-Grange chicken to take home on Week 3).

Parent & Child Culinary Workshop: Kids Night Out in Mexico – These classes are designed to give children and their parents a chance to share a culinary experience enhanced by our own Farm's harvest, make a meal together and enjoy a Farm to Table supper with their neighbors.  Unlike JCA and Summer Camp, these one-time classes offers the adult/child team a chance to try a class without making a 5 to 6 class commitment.

  • No vegetable shares – Summer season ended last week, Fall begins next week.  These are separate shares this year - please sign up for both if you want Fall veggies.  We are canning this week!
  • Yes to eggs, milk, chicken and flower shares as usual
  • Farm Stand is open, normal business hours: Tuesday-Friday 2-7 pm, Saturday 9-2

September is Pizza Month: Pizzeria Moto will be making pies at the Farm Stand every Tuesday for the month of September, from 2-7 PM.

Conservancy events

Community Bonfire & Camp Out Saturday, September 30th. Join the Willowsford Conservancy for our annual community bonfire and camp-over on The Greens meadow at the Grassland Grove Boulevard trailhead. The bonfire, BBQ and potluck begin at 6 PM with live music from 6:30 to 9:30 PM.  Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. We’ll provide hotdogs and sausages, a veggie dish, water and supplies. Anyone camping over will be treated to coffee/hot chocolate in the morning. Tents may be set up starting at 2 p.m. $5/person. Register here!
