Building Closure – Sycamore House and The Lodge will close at 5PM on Wednesday, November 22nd and will be closed all day Thursday, November 23rd and Friday, November 24th.

Community Update Meeting – The Willowsford Development Team has scheduled its next Community Update meeting for November 15th at 6:30 PM at The Lodge. Staff from the Willowsford Development Team and their Landscape Architects, along with staff of The Conservancy, will discuss their most recent progress on roads, special projects and improvements for the community.  Residents of The Grove may be especially interested to hear about the new additions of land to their Village and the revised preliminary plan. Residents are encouraged to register to give the HOA an accurate head count for preparations. Register here!

Waves Board Elections - The Willowsford Waves will be holding elections at our membership meeting in November. Wednesday, November 15th at 7:30 PM in the Sycamore House multipurpose room.

Holiday Pie Perfection – Thursday, November 16th from 6 to 8 PM at The Lodge.
Learn how to make tender, flaky pie crust just in time for the holidays. You’ll be surprised just how easy it is! We’ll bake and enjoy three classic, seasonal pies. Each will be paired with a local wine or spirit. Students will take home a pie dough they make in class.  $65/person. Register here!

Conservancy & Farm

Firearms Hunt, Tuesday-Saturday, November 14-18 in The Greens;
Trails CLOSED 

The Greens trails will be CLOSED Tuesday-Saturday, November 14-18, for the Deer Management Program muzzleloader hunt.  Residents must observe all trail closure signs.  Trails will reopen on Sunday, November 19. 
Archery hunting in The Greens and Grant will continue to take place through December 31, from dawn to 10 AM and from 3 PM to dusk.  Trails remain open during the archery hunt.  Residents must observe posted signs, stay on trails and keep dogs leashed.  There will be no archery hunting between 10 AM – 3 PM.

Thanksgiving Prepared Foods - Lettuce help you with your Thanksgiving week meals. Availability on some items is limited – the deadline is 11:59 PM on Tuesday, November 14th, but we recommend ordering early. Pick up is 3 – 7 PM on Tuesday, November 21st. Those times are sharp – no exceptions!

  • Turkeys – not many left, sign up now. Have until 11/14 at 11:59 PM to place orders

Last Day of Pizza at the Farm Stand - The last Pizza Tuesday with Pizzeria Moto is next Tuesday, November 14th. Don't miss the last Market Pie of the season. Pick up a pie to-go and grab some dough, cheese and soon, our own tomato sauce sold at the Farm Stand to make your own pizza at home.

Winter Shares Open: Veggies, Eggs & Chicken - We loved doing winter CSA last year and we love the idea of growing food all year round. This year we’ll go through the end of January with veggies, eggs and chicken. All shares are limited so we can do our best job without over-extending. 

Winter shares may (this is important!) include greens like spinach, kale, Swiss chard, and pac choi; cole crops like cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and cauliflower; starches like sweet potatoes, potatoes and winter squash; herbs, scallions, shallots and onions; salad fixings; roots like carrots, beets, turnips and radishes; and occasionally summer crops that we put up: tomato sauce, sauerkraut, pesto. It’s a fun, fresh mix. The selection and harvest is quite weather dependent – some crops you’ll see in December but may not hold out into January depending on our winter.

  • 9 weeks: December 5 – January 31
  • Pickup (only): Wednesdays, 3:30 – 7 PM at the Farm Stand on Founders Drive
  • Vegetables, eggs and chicken all available, all in limited numbers
