LCPS Public Hearing - Loudoun County School Board has submitted an application for Minor Special Exception approval for modification of the buffering and screening requirements applicable to the proposed use of a public utility service center without outdoor storage in an existing barn located in the TR-1UBF and TR-3UBF zoning districts.  A public hearing will be held on the evening of Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 6 PM in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room, County Government Center, 1 Harrison Street, S.E., Leesburg, Virginia.  Residents are invited to attend this public hearing.

2018 Approved HOA Budget and Assessment information - The 2017 budget was adopted by the Board of Directors and mailed to each home for review. We are pleased to announce that there is no increase budgeted for HOA assessments in 2018! The budget includes establishing a Capital Improvement fund separate from the Operating fund and Reserve fund. Income from initial and resale contributions will be allocated to this new fund for future projects after the Founder control period. Also, the HOA is not anticipating a developer subsidy. However, your developer has graciously offered to continue contributing to Willowsford through sponsorship of lifestyle programming. 2016 Audit - The FY2016 Willowsford Homeowners Association audit has been accepted by the Board of Directors. A copy is available for pick up at The Lodge or Sycamore House upon request.

New Yard Waste Pick-up Schedule - All yard waste is now being serviced with the trash.  Regular yard waste pick up is scheduled to resume in the spring.

Christmas Tree Pick Up - Tree pick up will occur on Wednesdays during the first two weeks in January (3rd and 10th).

Board of Directors Meeting – The Board of Directors meets every other month. The next board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 11th at 1:30 PM at Sycamore House. Open session and resident comment period expected to start approximately 1:45 to 2 PM.

Parent & Child Culinary Workshop: Pasta – These classes are designed to give children and their parents a chance to share a culinary experience enhanced by our own Farm's harvest, make a meal together and enjoy a farm-to-table supper with their neighbors.  Unlike JCA and Summer Camp, these one-time classes offer the adult/child team a chance to try a class without making a 5 to 6 class commitment.

Willowsford 101 – Thursday, January 25th from 6:30 to 8 PM at Sycamore House.  If you have not already attended Willowsford 101, please join us!  Team members from the HOA, Lifestyle, Kitchen, Conservancy and the Farm will be present to give you an overview of each aspect of our beautiful community. Begin the evening by mingling with representatives from our resident Community Groups.   This fun, interactive evening is a great opportunity to learn about your community and mingle with your neighbors!  Registration is free! 

Jr. Chef Academy: Pasta Mangia Mania! - JCA is a series of classes that teach children how to plan, prep, cook, and throw a party. Kids will learn how to cook seasonally, use the Willowsford Farm harvest, a variety of key cooking techniques, party planning and etiquette. The series finale will be a special celebration, hosted and catered by the kids, followed by a graduation ceremony. The Jr. Chef Academy per-child price includes an invitation for one special guest to attend the party and graduation ceremony. *Vegetarian options available upon request.

Lunch and Learn: Cozy French Bistro - Thursdays, Feb. 1st, 8th and 15th. From 10:30 AM to 1 PM at The Lodge. In this 3-week technique-driven series we will demystify classic French cuisine.  As we cook our way through breakfast, lunch and dinner in a French bistro, veteran cooks and beginners will learn and practice classic cooking techniques including French sauces, stewing, braising, sautéing and knife skills.  Each week a classic dough technique will be covered.  Students will make the dough in class and take some home to practice with.  Lunch will be served at each class along with a glass of wine. *This class is limited to 12 students.

  • Individual Classes: $70/person class 
  • Series: $210/per person (includes a Willowsford apron) *Please note this class is intended to be offered as a series.  Many of the techniques will be previewed and prepared a week ahead.

Valentine's Day in the City of Love - Treat your loved one to a sumptuous, four-course meal prepared by Chef Bonnie and Willowsford Kitchen. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres and champagne, followed by an elegant, seasonal dinner featuring Willowsford Farm's harvest, and paired with French wine. Hors d'oeuvres will be served at 6:30 PM and dinner at 7 PM. Couples will be seated at tables of eight. This is an adult-only event. $200/couple. Register here!

Landscape for Life - Tuesdays, February 21st - April 4th (4/4 is a snow date) from 9:30 AM to 12 PM at Sycamore House. Landscape for Life is a 6-session course in sustainable landscaping on how you can transform your home landscape into a healthy refuge that benefits birds, pollinators and other wildlife along with the entire community and the Chesapeake Bay.  Developed by the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center and the U.S. Botanic Garden.
