This event will be similar to the Community Yard Sales that we've had in the past but are opening it up to folks that are interested in selling more than just their second-hand items. Follow-Up Grant School Site Informational MeetingAn informational meeting will be held Thursday, September 6th at 6:30 PM at The Lodge. Representatives of the Karter School will provide the status of issues raised at the initial meeting held in July as well as present their updated proposed plan for a childcare center at the intersection of Route 50 and Everfield Dr. next to The Grant’s Southern entrance.
Community Update Meeting The Willowsford Development Team has scheduled its next Community Update meeting for October 16th at 6:30 PM at The Lodge. Staff from the Willowsford Development Team will discuss their most recent progress on projects and improvements for the community. Residents are encouraged to register to give the HOA an accurate head count for preparations. Register here.
Community Standards Inspection ReminderThe following sections in The Grove and Greens can expect to see Fatima and Kirk over the next few Months: Grove 7B, 7C, 8A, 8A, 9A, 9B, 9C; Greens 5B, 7A, 7B. Click here to determine what section your street is in. Kirk and Fatima will be dressed in Willowsford Gear and/or wearing an ID lanyard. You can expect to see them taking pictures and walking along the property. Due to the increasing summer temperatures, you may see Fatima and Kirk as early as 8 AM.
Board of Directors Meeting The Board of Directors meets every other month. The next board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 18th at 1:30 PM at Sycamore House. Open session and resident comment period expected to start at 2 PM.

Kids can cook and entertain! Willowsford’s Junior Chef Academy for Half Pints is a special 6-week series of classes teaching children how to plan, cook for, and throw a party. Kids will learn about the most important meal of the day, how to balance sweet and savory breakfast items, a variety of key cooking techniques, party planning and party etiquette. The series finale will be a three-course breakfast prepared and hosted by the kids, followed by a graduation ceremony. The Junior Chef Academy per-child price includes an apron, dinner (in this case breakfast) each evening and an invitation for one parent to attend the finale breakfast (for dinner) and graduation ceremony.DATE CHANGE Jr. Chef Academy, Foodies: A Magic Carpet Ride: Food Fit For Sheiks, Emperors and Kings- When: Thursdays, October 4 - November 8

Lunch & Learn Hearty Fall Soup, Stews, and BreadsThursdays, October 11, 18, 25 from 10:30 AM to 1 PM at The Lodge. In this 3-week technique driven series you’ll learn the “why” behind what we do in the kitchen, including knife skills, how to purchase and use kitchen equipment and ingredients, as well as solid culinary techniques. While preparing a delicious lunch, veteran cooks and beginners will learn and practice basic knife skills, techniques for soups to stews and everything in between, along with quick breads, biscuits and yeast breads. During the 3rd class, each student will debone their own chicken. Lunch will be served each week along with a glass of wine. Register here!

Willowsford Archery Club Join the Willowsford Archery Club for the Grand Opening of the Archery Range on Sunday, September 16th from 2 to 6 PM (in conjunction with the opening of Cedar Pond Pavilion). Come out and tour the range, watch archery demonstrations, check out archery equipment, and sign up to join the Club! The event is free; registration is required. Register here! Willowsford Conservancy provides the archery range in The Greens, which serves as the venue for the Willowsford Archery Club. The Conservancy and Club have entered into a use-agreement, and residents must be members of the Archery Club to use the range. To cover insurance fees and other Club expenses, there will be a small annual fee to join the non-profit Archery Club.
