Preparing for Hurricane Florence: A Note from Supervisor Buffington

Click here for important information for Loudoun County residents about the possible impact of Hurricane Florence.

Safety Reminder

Fall is right around the corner! Fall weather means more people exercising and playing outdoors and children walking to and from bus stops, please drive carefully through the community.

Building Closures

The Lodge will be closed on Saturday, September 15th for Street Eats at Willowsford. The Fitness Center will be closed from 11 AM to 4 PM.

A note from Deputy Michael Rivera of the LCSD

Many thefts from vehicles are crimes of opportunity. The majority of reported thefts from vehicles are due to residents leaving their cars unlocked with valuables in sight (phones, purses, wallets, electronics, etc.). We are NOT seeing forcible break-ins or smashed windows on cars.  While some may consider it a hassle to lock their cars in driveways I encourage residents to do just that so that they do not become victims. If you choose to leave a car unlocked, make sure to remove valuables.

Additionally, please check garage doors before going to bed. Patrol deputies often find garages wide open late at night and have to knock on doors and wake people up to advise them to close the doors.

Community Update Meeting

The Willowsford Development Team has scheduled its next Community Update meeting for October 16th at 6:30 PM at The Lodge. Staff from the Willowsford Development Team will discuss their most recent progress on projects and improvements for the community. Residents are encouraged to register to give the HOA an accurate head count for preparations. Register here.
