Photography Reminder

For many residents, fall ushers in football season and homecoming for high school students.  We hope your young adults have a fantastic season and enjoy the festivities of homecoming. We understand parents and students enjoy taking homecoming photos at Willowsford. Before doing so, please review and observe the following parameters: Willowsford amenities, including Willow Lake and Pier are private for Willowsford residents only and their invited guests (up to 4 guests maximum). Other amenities, such as The Lodge and Sycamore House interiors/patio areas are not available for group photos. For more information regarding the Photography Policy, click here

Bus Stop Reminder

We have received several resident reports requesting that we ask parents who drive their children to the bus stops not to park too close to crosswalks and bus stops to allow for better visibility for children to cross the street safely.

Board Meeting Summary: Key FOB Fee Change & Approved Documents

The Board met this week and the following notable actions were taken: In addition to the two complimentary FOBs provided at initial settlement, the Board of Directors approved a change in fees to $15 each FOB regardless of whether the FOB is a replacement (previously $75) or an additional purchase for a full time resident (previously $10), effective immediately. The Board also approved contract renewals for janitorial services and preparation of the HOA publication and recorded by The Founder, a community-wide standard and Willowsford standard for Encroachments. Policies, Minutes and recorded Founder action are available to view on WillowsfordLife.com.

A Note from Deputy Michael Rivera of the LCSD

Many thefts from vehicles are crimes of opportunity. The majority of reported thefts from vehicles are due to residents leaving their cars unlocked with valuables in sight (phones, purses, wallets, electronics, etc.). We are NOT seeing forcible break-ins or smashed windows on cars.  While some may consider it a hassle to lock their cars in driveways I encourage residents to do just that so that they do not become victims. If you choose to leave a car unlocked, make sure to remove valuables.

Additionally, please check garage doors before going to bed. Patrol deputies often find garages wide open late at night and have to knock on doors and wake people up to advise them to close the doors.

Community Update Meeting
