Board Meeting SummaryNEW! The Board met June 15th. Couldn’t make the meeting, but want to know what we have been up to and what is going on in the community? Click here to review the Community Manager Report. The following notable actions were taken:
The Board ratified the following email decisions due to their time sensitive nature: Annual Association insurance renewal, appointment of Strategic Planning Committee member, and supporting a local initiative for funding to address invasive plant species. The Board also adopted the 2023 Reserve Study and a proposal from SmartWebs for Covenants and work order software. The Strategic Planning Chairperson provided an update, and the President provided an update on the Association’s financials as of the most recent monthly reports in the Treasurer’s absence. Discussion included Community Voice submission and revisions to the Amenity Use Guidelines as well as Community Group Guidelines. Approved Minutes, Reserve Study spreadsheets, and other documents are available to view on WillowsfordLife.com in the Document Center. The next Board meeting is scheduled for August 17th at 5:30 PM at Sycamore House and available on Zoom.

Watering Street TreesNEW! You may have noticed we have not been getting much rain these past few weeks. While our landscapers are working hard to ensure street trees are getting water by adding and filling gator bags weekly, we ask that residents assist with watering their street trees when they can. This will help the trees survive in between rains. Why can’t our landscaper handle filling gator bags and watering street trees you might ask? There are over 200 gator bags throughout the Willowsford community placed on newly planted street trees as well as trees that may not be doing so well on their own. While DTE goes through the process of adding water to the gator bags twice a week, supplemental watering from residents would be extremely beneficial during times where we are not getting as much rain as needed.

Winemaker Dinner: Featuring Robert Young Estate WineryNEW! Saturday, September 23rd from 6 - 9 PM at Sycamore House. In the first event of its kind at Willowsford, Willowsford Kitchen is excited to come together with Robert Young Estate Winery to offer a six-course plated dinner of perfectly paired seasonal fare and an array of the best wines from this acclaimed Sonoma County winery.
Robert Young, a 5th generation family member, is bringing his wines and expertise to the Sycamore House to share in an evening of good food, great wine, and exceptional storytelling. The Young family have lived on and farmed their 448-acre ranch in Alexander Valley for over 160 years, passed down through 6 generations. They are the largest family-owned grower of premium grapes in Alexander Valley, and Robert Young was the first to plant Cabernet Sauvignon in the valley back in 1963. The family has grown grapes for many leading premium wineries; including Chateaux St. Jean, Ferrari Carano, Pride, Simi, Rodney Strong, among others. The family started Robert Young Estate Winery in 1997, selecting only 7% of the grapes they grow from the best vineyard blocks on their property for their estate wines. Robert Young is known for big, lush Chardonnays, bold Cabernets, and sublime Bordeaux Blends, all grown on their 448-acre estate in Alexander Valley. View Six-Course Menu & Register Here
