Are there any projects that do not need approval by the DRC committee?

To expedite the review process, the Community Standards Manager has been authorized by the Design Review Commitee to implement Administrative Review of several projects. Administratively reviewed applications do not need to be reviewed at the DRC meeting. The Community Standards Manager may determine that further review is required for an application and submit the application for review at the following pre-review meeting. 

The following applications qualify for administrative review:

  • Arbors
  • Basketball Goals
  • Play Equipment (Climbing Walls, Trampolines, Playsets)
  • Compost Bins/Barrels
  • Door Renovations (Color Changes/Screen Doors/Storm Doors)
  • Exterior Decorative Objects (Statues, Yard Decorations, etc.)
  • Exterior Painting & Surfaces
  • Fencing
  • Flagpoles (Permanent)
  • Generators
  • Gutters and Downspouts
  • Outdoor Lighting 
  • Solar Panels
  • Stepping Stones (no more than 10)
  • Vegetable Gardens

There are many projects that do not require an application as long as they follow the Property Maintenance and Design Standards) and do not need to be reviewed by the Design Review Committee. 

These projects include:

  • Address Numbers
  • Antennas/Satellite Dishes
  • Bird Baths/Bird Feeders/Bird Houses
  • Clotheslines
  • Patio/Porch Curtains and Shades
  • Firewood Storage
  • Holiday and Seasonal Decorations
  • HVAC units
  • Irrigation
  • Lawn Furniture
  • Mailboxes
  • Pet Access Doors
  • Plant Containers
  • Radon Vent Systems
  • Rain Barrels
  • Security Cameras and Devices (with no lighting)
  • Signage
